Burt’s Trail Ride

Location

Burt's Farm, Mimiha Road, Matata.

Signposted from the Matata Straights SH2, at Mimiha Road about 5 km north of Matata.

The ride

The main track is approximately 18-20 km long.

There is a shortcut home for riders who do not want to do the whole track, about 4 km long.

There is a kids track and a family track. The family track is about 3-5 km long and is designed for children and their parents only.

Fees

• Senior: $50
• Youth: $25 (10 years old up to and including secondary school)
• Under 10: $10
• Family: $100 (includes dad, mum plus up to 3 children under 15)

Senior riders are being charged an extra $5 to help pay the paramedics.

Requirements

• It is mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher at all times on these rides.
• No eftpos on site; cash only.

Notes

Registrations from 8:30 onwards.

The gate is opened for people to ride at approximately 9:00 am, when the track has been swept.

Tracks close at approximately 3:00 pm.

If heavy rain looks imminent, there will be a rain check day either the next day Sunday or the following Saturday. Please email or ring if unsure.
