Mangatangi Trail Ride

Location

783 Kaiaua Road, Mangatangi.

The track is within about half an hour's drive from Pukekohe and Thames.

The ride

Approx 25 km main loop with optional technical A loops.

Terrain generally consists of open farmland, medium hills, and native bush.

Also includes an approx 10 km family loop using the same entrance as the main loop, a kids track, and a separate pee wee track by the car park area.

Tracks are marshalled.

Tracks are designed for 2 and 4 wheeler riders only.

Strictly no 4x4s or side by side.

All children under 15 must always be accompanied by an adult.

Times

• Gate opens at 08:00 both days.
• Sign on from 08:30.
• No riders briefing; refer to the board at registration and paper copies available on request.
• Track open approx 10:00 to 15:00.

Fees

• Day entry: Adult $50pp, child (12 and under) $20.
• Two day ride pass (Sat and Sun): Adult $80pp, child $30.

Requirements

• Helmets are compulsory for all riders.
• Fire extinguishers are recommended but not compulsory.
• Wear sensible clothing: boots, long clothing, and ideally goggles as it can be dusty.
• Ensure your bike is in good condition and you have plenty of fuel.

Facilities

Camping available Saturday night.

Only facility on site is portaloo toilets. No running water available. Guests must bring their own camping equipment and manage their own rubbish. Children are welcome. Event organiser will be onsite.

BBQ and refreshments available for sale during the day as part of the school fundraising campaign.

Eftpos and cash available.
